Community Outreach and Case Management

MHP offers the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutritional program and the Healthy Start maternal and pediatric case management program – in partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Tulsa Health Department. The WIC program provides supplemental foods, nutrition education and referrals to healthcare at no cost to pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age five. MHP’s Healthy Start case managers provide health education and supervision to women who are at high risk of having an underweight or premature baby. Healthy Start helps link clients to supportive social services, childcare, housing, education and job training. Healthy Start serves pregnant and parenting women and their infants until her child reaches age two.

  • Healthy Start maternal, infant and toddler health case management is provided.
  • Healthy Start case managers conduct depression and substance abuse screening.
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC) supplemental nutritious food program is offered.
  • Referrals are made to community-based health and social services organizations.
