At 14, Jamesha Williams was faced with a difficult situation – she was pregnant. But fortunately, Jamesha says, “I had a wonderful support system in my mother, grandmother and my aunts. They wanted to help me succeed in my education.” After attending the Margaret Hudson Program for a year-and-a-half, Jamesha transferred to Booker T. Washington High School to complete her diploma. She continued her studies at college, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She currently serves as a Registered Nurse at the City of Tulsa Occupational Health Clinic. Whether mentoring an individual student or speaking to a group of students at Margaret Hudson, Jamesha continues to be involved in the community, always remembering the people and the programs that helped her when she needed it most. Jamesha currently serves as the Secretary of the MHP Board of Directors.
